Friends of Tribal Society (FTS) operates a village school at a cost of INR 22,000 per year. FTS is able to maintain schools at such a low cost because it works with low overhead and is supported by local villagers who work shoulder to shoulder to empower their local villages.
Donations to FTS are tax-deductible under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act, and eligible for tax benefits only in India. Donations to FTS are not tax-deductible outside of India.
